Imagine.
Approaching a space through my work I push the viewer to interact with their surroundings. Reimagined places of hand crafted art, illuminated chandeliers, meeting an experience. Uncovering the boundary where fantasy can become an immersive reality.
True Beauty lies off the cusp of one's comfort zone.
Over this past year I took on what could be described as "undesirable" spaces. Through my process, I envisioned a whole new perspective on their physical layouts and focused on the energy and overall aesthetic to reimagine what the spaces could be.
The process encompasses custom hand painted walls, sourcing furniture and fixtures that are reupholstered, reconstructed or repainted to complement the curated space. I look to consignment vendors, vintage dealers and estate sales for all furnishings.
I aspire to transport the person entering into one of my reimagined spaces and invoke an emotion through movement, texture and expression; as though they are passing through an arched door frame encapsulated with shades of emerald green ivy, showcasing elegantly brushed, blushing pink dipped roses blooming through a whimsical perspective.
